Description

The Museo de Arte Latinoamericano de Buenos Aires (MALBA) is dedicated to the art of Latin America.  The lower level is a cinema which offers classic and art films made by Argentine filmmakers.  The main level houses a cafe and museum shop.  The top three floors offer rotating displays of paintings, photography, sculpture, and mixed media installations from Latin American artists.  The museum has a very open feel to it and has a minimal entrance fee.  On Wednesdays, the museum is free to students, including college students, with identification.  The cafe is on the pricey side but the IKEA feel to it and the friendliness of fellow patrons makes it worth the extra cash to savor its menu.
