La Cabrera and La Cabrera Norte are sister restaurants located 1/2 block apart. Both locations have minimal seating but serve the same menu. The portions of beef are large and served on wooden cutting boards. Tender and very tasty, the Argentine beef has no additives and the cattle are grain-fed without enhancements. You can taste the difference between this beef and U.S. beef. This would not be the first choice of dining for vegetarians, but upon request you can order a skewer of grilled vegetables. One companion ordered this and felt they were the best-tasting veggies she had eaten. The wine, preferably Malbec, goes well with beef and brings out the flavor of the beef. We had a party of nine and the per-person bill was less than $40 US. A wonderful meal enjoyed by all.
NOTE: The restaurants don't take credit and the nearest ATM is several blocks away. Also, call for a taxi pickup after dining or you will need to walk 4 or 5 blocks to reach a street with heavy traffic.
