The new, interactive GBSSA Web site launched on February 1.  The updated features allow you to share information and ideas in a more organized format.  Here are some of the ways you can interact:

JOB BOARD – We have added a job posting board (http://gbssa.org/ads) where you can post jobs that may be of interest to GBSSA members and review openings that may interest you.  Individuals can even self-advertise consulting or computing services.  Posting jobs is easy and you can set how long the posting will remain active, up to 90 days.

RESEARCH – Members schools have easy access to the 2008 and 2009 membership survey (http://gbssa.org/page/Research).  Download the Excel documents and filter and sort the data to benefit you.  This will also be the location for future research projects.

FORUMS – The Forums feature (http://gbssa.org/forum) is where we are archiving the contributions to the Discussion ListServ.  If you have missed any exchanges from the past several months, you can review them here.  This archive can also be beneficial as a research tool if you are planning changes to programming or services.

GBSSA DIRECTORY – The online GBSSA Directory (http://gbssa.org/search.php) is your peer to peer networking solution.  Using the simple search, you can view all of our members from a specific school or use the Advanced Search to search by Member Last Name, Business School Name, Job Title, City, State, and Country.

PLACES – This feature (http://gbssa.org/places) is particularly helpful for those staff who travel…with our without students.  We hope that GBSSA members will post information about those places of interest which aren’t necessarily in tourist guides.  Those hidden gems that will impress your travel companions and students can be flagged for quick research.  There are several categories of destinations and Google Maps will track them all.  Feel free to post domestic sites as well.  This is a fun way to share experiences and you can upload photos of these places to your review.

All student services staff of GBSSA member schools may register for an account on the new Web site.  Visit http://gbssa.org and click on the red Join button to set your account.
